Last July was de deadline for the justification of the subsidy granted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain to this company, to carry out a feasibility study (technical and commercial) and a business plan for the development of the project called " feed4food "which addresses the reduction of the use of antibiotics in animal feed by substituting them with natural preventive additives.
MASLINA I. T. is one of those companies that submitted a project to the call SME Instrument within the European Program H2020 and even obtaining the qualification of excellence project, did not get EU funding own the lack of budget. The Ministry of Economy of Spain reacted quickly and launched a complementary line to retrieve all Spanish projects that were left out of funding, conceding in the case of this company, a grant of 46,800 Eur.
The feasibility study and the business plan, whose drafting has been supported by two consulting firms of proven experience within the EU (ATOMM - Madrid - and CEDENOR - Santander -), both with representation in Brussels, they have helped to define in a clear and concise way the objectives, strategy and action policies that this company must follow in order to succeed.
Additionally, the fact of having received this grant and support from the Ministry for the drafting of the Business Plan, is a validation for future calls for aid, as it represents a guarantee that the project has already passed a first threshold of general interest and seriousness in the business approach.
